I noticed the same thing. After updating the profile editor, it wouldn't create a profiles folder. Making one will solve that problem for those who lack the folder. Maybe to avoid confusion, repack the editor with the profiles folder? The people that understand how the old editor works would know what to expect (I used this program religiously for grinding profiles lol) but for some of the new comers to the program, it may raise a question or two.

Just wanted to add a time frame that the exe disappears. I downloaded the new V2 editor you packed. Unpacked it and ran the editor after updating. Editor opened and I created a quick profile and closed at 7:39. By 7:42 the exe had vanished. Not sure if thatll help you determine what could be causing the problem but that is the average time frame that it disappears from the folder.

It kind of reminds me of the Adobe one time use updaters for their flash program. Once you use it and it installs the program, it deletes itself.

When I unpacked the WaypointRecording Tool, it created the directories for the profiles as well.

Actually I prefer this little tool that the Profile Pro editor because of the much better terrain view of the maps when creating a new profile. I can see much clearer where I have to fly e.g. when creating a gathering track around and across mountains or rocks for mining.

The only bug is that it stop recording somewhere around 1.300 to 1.500 waypoints. You want to know why so many waypoints? Maybe this will explain the reason:
