Hello gentlemen.

I was just thinking about the subject of IP/mac bans..

have any of you guys ever expirienced it?

I only just started botting, and i was paranoid starting out, so i thought, i'd better get myself a "VPN"

So i got it, and faked an IP from america... and logged into my newly bought WOW account, and boom... "Your account has been banned"

I looked at it with these eyes   - - - - >    ( O_o)

Because i havent logged into it once, and how could it know?! Anyways, i think it just figured me, when signing up telling i was from denmark, and then when i logged in from the other side of the world, it figured, so i changed the passwords and i was able to log in again without anything further.

But do you guys use VPN's?

And what do you do when you get IP banned?

What about your main account, is it safe when you use another account to farm with?

Are you sure it was a ban and not an account lock for your protection given the change in location? If it was indeed a ban appeal it, tell them you vacation or are away on business. Just make something up plausible ;)

hey for me there is no reason in using another ip. When you feel saver then try to get one of your country. blizzard ill lock this account every time you loig in with a different ip nd then you always have to change the PW.
sorry for my broken english! :D

Blizzard banned you on your first login attempt? that is really sad :P however you can write a ticket or pm on forums, this problem can be rectified.

Now coming back to your problem, Blizzard will ban dynamic ips ( ip that changes ).
I would recommend you to go for a vpn that can offer a static ip aswell. That will help you out. So that you wont be looking a vpn where you can define the ip pool range.

I know few vpns, if you want to know i will update you here.

Cheers

Thanks for the answers.

I didnt actually get banned, I just got that PW change because i tryed to log in with a VPN.

But im brighter now, having botted for one-half week, having a few levels 80's so far and figureing stuff out slowly but securely.

But after thinking about it, i wont have to use it, i used my payment for all three of my accounts, so that was abit silly, im guessing they will shut down all three accounts if they catch one of them.. Which is kind of sad, because one of them is my main obv.

:-P

you know there is one thing that you can do, ie use a VPN with a dedicated/static ip option.
I know few VPNS, if you need to know do let me know
